Chef Jérôme Ferrer at the stoves of Le Chaînon

October 3rd, to kick off Le Chaînon Fundraising Campaign, Chef Jérôme Ferrer prepared a gastronomic meal for lunch served to women who seek shelter at Le Chaînon.
In the kitchen of the women’s shelter, the great Chef had to create a menu using food donations on hand that day.
Head chef of renowned restaurants, such as L’Europea, Jérôme Ferrer has fearlessly accepted Le Chaînon’s invitation to face the challenge.
"On any day, a good meal is comforting, a reward, a moment of communion that should be shared. We only have to use the ingredients on hand and magic happens!"
To offer this eagerly awaited meal, the Chef was assisted by Le Chaînon’s team and accompanied by Nancy, a former resident of our shelter, who is now one of our kitchen employees.
“At some point in my life when there was no one else for me, there was Le Chaînon. 10 years later, I can see how far I have come with their help”.
A few special guests have also shared this unusual meal, namely, our spokesperson, Bernard Fortin and the Honorary President of the 2011-2012 Campaign, Mr. Marc DeSerres, President of DeSerres.
Under the theme of unconditional welcome and solidarity, the event has promoted the value of our slogan for this Fundraising Campaign, Open your heart, we’re opening our doors! with the hope of reaching our target of 500,000$.
